Demystifying Death Week 2022

Taking place across Scotland from 2-6 May, Demystifying Death Week is about shining a light on death, dying and bereavement in Scotland. We are encouraging people to get involved by holding online events that bring death, dying and bereavement into the limelight.

Building bereavement confidence in schools

Organised by Child Bereavement UK. Tuesday 3 May 4 pm - 5 pm

In bereavement training, over 75% of education professionals tell us they worry that they will say the wrong thing, or feel they lack confidence when having conversations about death and grief with their pupils. The webinar investigates some of the challenges facing schools when they are managing a bereavement, responding to world events, or answering pupils’ questions. This session will provide information, strategies and resources to empower staff in school to feel more confident when managing bereavement within their school community.

Bereavement in the Workplace Webinar

Organised by the Bereavement Charter Group. Tuesday 3 May 2022, online, 13.30

This webinar provides an opportunity to explore bereavement in the workplace.

It is for anyone with an interest in improving the support given to people who are bereaved including:

- managers, employers and staff who want to make their workplace or organisation more 'bereavement-friendly'

- those with a professional interest in bereavement.

During the webinar you will have the chance to hear from a several speakers and then have the opportunity to ask questions during a Q & A session.

Planning for The Future

Organised by NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. Tuesday 3 May, 7pm.

What will we be talking about?

When it comes to planning for the future, do you even know where to start? During this informal information session we will give you some ideas of things to think about and tools to help you plan, as well as telling you how this information can be shared with others so that everyone is in the know.
