Escape Room
Powers, Puzzles and Prescience is an Escape Room for Demystifying Death Week
Undertaken by teams of 3-5 people, participants are challenged to unravel a super-hero themed mystery by finding clues and solving puzzles.
Along the way teams will encounter family dynamics, future care planning, caring responsibilities and aging in the 21st century.
Run the escape room in your local community
If you’re in Scotland, Good Life, Good Death, Good Grief can send you everything you need to run Powers, Puzzles and Prescience, free of charge. Alternatively, there is a website where you can download and print all the necessary resources.
This includes…
- All the escape room puzzles and clues, including diary entries, letters, photographs, police reports and newspaper articles.
- Instructions of how to set up the escape room and ideas for how to make the experience as immersive as possible.
For Demystifying Death Week we are running a competition for the best escape room photo - find out more here: Escape Room - Photo Prizes
What will you need?
The room takes around 1 hour to complete, and is solved by one team at a time. You’ll need to provide..
- Your enthusiasm as host, and a team of people to solve the mystery
- A laptop or smartphone with internet access
- A space to transform into your Escape Room.
- Ideally you’ll need two separate spaces for the two different sections of the escape room, but it can be done in just one room.
Any space will do – whether it is an office, a meeting room, a church hall, or a bedroom – as long as there is privacy, and space to lay out, and sometimes hide, the puzzles and clues we send you.
If you like, you can use props like furniture, tablecloths, crockery or ornaments to create a more immersive experience for teams.
