The Childhood Bereavement Network has brought together some downloadable lesson plans.

East Renfrewshire Bereavement Loss and Grief (BLG) Team resources for schools

These lessons were developed by the East Renfrewshire Bereavement Loss and Grief (BLG) Team from lessons written by teachers from Brighton and Hove and the Childhood Bereavement Charity Winston’s Wish. The lesson content has been piloted by teachers from the BLG Team and discussed with students. 

Irish Childhood Bereavement Network

This resource explores how picture books can be used to support children.

Resilience Project: Educating and Supporting Children around Death, Dying and Bereavement 

The Resilience Project was developed as a result of collaboration between Strathcarron Hospice, the Universities of Strathclyde and Edinburgh and St Francis Xavier’s RC Primary School, Falkirk. The project consists of five lessons covering the subjects of death, loss and grief. The lessons are aimed at pupils in Primary Six or Seven (aged nine to 12 years) and address experiences
and outcomes from three curriculum areas: Health and Wellbeing, Science and Religious Education
