Networking
There are opportunities within Scotland and beyond to connect with others involved in compassionate communities initiatives.
Good Life, Good Death, Good Grief
GLGDGG is an alliance of individuals and organisations working to make Scotland a place where people can be open about death, dying and bereavement. It is free to join, and members receive a monthly e-bulletin with the latest death, dying and bereavement news relevant to Scotland.
Truacanta: Scotland’s Compassionate Communities Network
Good Life, Good Death, Good Grief runs the Scottish Compassionate Communities Network.
The network is specifically for people and organisations who want to get involved in practical work to build compassion in their own community, with a particular focus on improving people’s experiences of deteriorating health, death, dying and bereavement. The network provides opportunities for people to come together and share learning, experience, ideas and motivation.
It is free to join the network and you can sign up here.
Public Health Palliative Care International
Public Health Palliative Care International is an association that has been established to promote practice learning, professional support, and facilitate local and international communication between people around the world who are involved in public health palliative care initiatives, including compassionate communities. The PHPCI website’s resources section links to tools, journal articles and research that may be of interest to those working to unleash compassionate in their community.
