At a Death Cafe people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea/coffee and discuss death. It is a relaxed, group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.
This Death Cafe, run by Willowbrae Free The Change, hopes to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people to make the most of our (finite) lives. It aims to provide a respectful space, with no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action.
All are welcome, and a limited number of teas/coffees/soft drinks and snacks will be available free.
There will be a big sign on the table. Just come over and say hello and you'll be made welcome.
Further drinks/food can be ordered and paid for at the bar.
