As part of Demystifying Death Week the Critical Care End Of Life QI Group will be hosting a COMFRT and COFFEE afternoon session for any staff who would like to attend.
WHAT IS COMFRT & COFFEE?
A forum for reflection and support in Critical Care for all members of the MDT including doctors of all grades working in ICU, HDU and Palliative care, ACCPs, nurses of all grades working in ICU and HDU, AHPs, administrative staff and members of the Organ donation services team.
Comfrt & Coffee is an informal, confidential, supportive forum for all staff to access.
Why this?
It is a forum that to allow staff time to debrief and reflect following any significant events or any deaths in Critical Care, and to highlight any learning or improvements we can make in our practice for patients their families and staff. The meetings are chaired by either an ICU Consultant or a Palliative Care Consultant or a Senior Nurse in Critical Care.
In Critical Care we have a COMFRT & COFFEE quarterly or more often if required but would like extend the invitation to ALL STAFF WITHIN THE HOSPITAL for this session.
If you are interested in coming along, please RSVP to michelle.murphy@ggc.scot.nhs.uk just to allow us to ensure we have enough cake.
