Please join us for a screening of the filmed play "Cicely & David" written by David Clark, Emeritus Professor, University of Glasgow. The play tells the story of how Cicely Saunders came to establish the first modern hospice.

David Tasma, a Polish immigrant to London, was dying from cancer far from home and family. His social worker, Cicely Saunders, knew him only briefly but they formed a close bond, and she helped him find meaning in his life. Her experiences with David led her to found the first modern hospice in 1967, becoming a beacon for end of life care improvement around the world.

Following the screening there will be time for discussion questions and answers facilitated by producer Dr Jo Hockley OBE.
