Death Cafe
Death Cafe
7.30pm,Tuesday 11 May.
Organised by Willowbrae Transition Streets Group.
Death is unavoidable yet so many of us avoid talking about it.
That’s where a "Death Cafe" comes in, but as this one’s online you’ll need to provide your own tea / coffee / cake.
If you are interested in compassionate communities, or curious about anything to do with death, dying and bereavement then please join us.
This is in place of our usual ‘Transition Streets Group’, which usually meets fortnightly on Tuesday evenings between 7.30pm and 9pm on Zoom.
Even if you haven't participated before, you'd be very welcome to join us, just remember to get in-touch with your name and email address so that we can send you the Zoom link.
We might also discuss greener options (eg. natural burial, cardboard coffins etc), anticipatory care planning / advance directives, wills, power of attorney etc. All of which can be very empowering for the people concerned, and lessen the burden on people left behind.
Expect a relaxed group directed discussion rather than a grief support or counselling session. We aim to provide a respectful space, with no intention of leading people to any particular conclusion, product or course of action. All welcome.
