Good Death Week Events

Events are taking place across Scotland for Good Death Week, 13 - 19 May. These are the ones we know about. If you know of others or you're organising something yourself, let us know and we can promote it.

Good Death Week is all about creating opportunities for people to think, talk and plan ahead for death, dying and bereavement.

NODA Ayrshire Coffee Morning

Sat 18 May 2019, 2pm - 4pm
HC-One Care Home, Fullarton, Irvine

Coffee morning organised by No-one Dies Alone Ayrshire. £1 for a cake and a cuppa. Great raffle and tombola and there may even be some acoustic entertainment!

Silver Threads information day

Sat 18 May 2019, 10am - 2pm
Silver Threads, High Street, Burntisland

An event to openly chat about death, dying, funerals, DNR and organ donation with local celebrants Silver Threads. People can come along and discuss their funeral wishes. They will then receive a parchment paper copy to take away with them and file. There will also be refreshments and a raffle on the day

WISHES Women's Group Recording Memories Sessions

Women in Self Help & Empowerment (WISHES) group will be holding "recording memories" sessions to encourage women with emotional difficulties to write stories or create scrapbooks based on their life to leave to relatives after they have died, including pictures of their favourite things.
