Kilbryde Hospice, East Kilbride, G75 8GJ

Searching for Meaning is a new documentary by Director Jean-Francois Rodrigues.

The film was born out of the sad, recent death of his mother, Mary Elizabeth Rodrigues. Jean-Francois felt she did not receive proper care during the last week of her life, and recognised that his own lack of understanding of palliative care had a role to play in that.

Kilbryde Hospice will be giving a free public screening of this documentary which tries to tackle the lack of understanding of this important topic.

Talking about death can be difficult. Often we don't know what to say or how to react when we hear the news. Talking about death won't make it happen sooner, but it can help us prepare ourselves and our loved ones for the inevitable.

If you are one of the 50% of people who say they're worried about how to talk about death (HospiceUK survey) then come and join Southside Death Club for a coffee morning with a difference.

Drop in any time for a cup of tea or coffee, a slice of cake and chat about death.
