Good Death Week Events
Events are taking place across Scotland for Good Death Week, 13 - 19 May. These are the ones we know about. If you know of others or you're organising something yourself, let us know and we can promote it.
Good Death Week is all about creating opportunities for people to think, talk and plan ahead for death, dying and bereavement.

Reading & Writing Death & Dying Symposium
Tue 14 May 2019, 12pm - 5pm
St. Mungo Museum Of Religious Life & Art
FREE

This symposium, organised by Death Writes, will focus on the reading and writing aspects of the multi-faceted topic of death and dying. This will develop and hone the critical and creative skills through close reading a range of texts as writers. These considerations and understandings of how diverse texts are constructed can thereafter be applied to our own writing, thinking and making in writing workshops. This is something particularly useful, as we consider how we might write well about death and dying and other difficult, complicated subjects, and subsequently be applicable to a range of difficult subjects and facilitate writing in ways that will better communicate emotionally complex or sensitive subject matter to diverse audiences.
