good life, good death, good grief

The Truacanta Project

Truacanta Evaluation Report Cover: picture of an orange origami bird with textThe Truacanta Project was set up to support local communities in Scotland who were interested in taking community action to improve people’s experiences of death, dying, loss and care, using a community development approach. It ran from 2019-2023.

The Truacanta Project has been evaluated by Janet Biggar Research, using a combination of depth interviews with participants, observation, reflective workshops and self-evaluation.

Drawing on this and additional evaluation published in an Interim Report the final evaluation report sets out key findings and reflections from the Truacanta Project as a whole.

The successes of the Truacanta project will be shared and built on through Truacanta: Scotland's Compassionate Communities Network.
