The Scottish Bereavement Summit brought together 120 people from across the bereavement sector in Scotland. Together, the group devised 10 recommendations on how to improve people’s experiences of bereavement in Scotland. Join us for the first in a series of ‘talk to action’ events exploring how we can work together to turn these recommendations into a reality.
This is the first in a series of ‘moving from talk to action on bereavement’ events, to discuss how those of us within bereavement sector in Scotland can work together to achieve positive change. The event will focus on the first Bereavement Summit recommendation: Improving Signposting.
The hope is that if every organisation represented at the meeting commits to taking one action, together we can start to achieve meaningful change.
The event is for anyone who feels they can play a role in improving signposting to available bereavement support in Scotland, including: those working in the bereavement sector, whether in the voluntary, statutory or private sector;funeral industry; NHS and social care staff who come into contact with bereaved people including GPs, care home staff, child death review co-ordinators and educational psychologists.
Please come prepared to contribute your ideas and to commit to taking practical action on behalf of your organisation.
