good life, good death, good grief

small things that make a big difference

Demystyfing Death Week 6-12 May 2024

What are the 'small' things that can make a big difference to someone who is caring, dying or grieving?

If you have an example that you'd be happy for us to share (anonymously) during Demystifying Death Week, we'd love to hear from you.

Perhaps someone has done something that really helped when you or a loved one was dealing with death or deteriorating health?

Or a friend, neighbour or work colleague helped to make life a little easier when you were grieving?

Perhaps something you did for someone else had a big impact on their wellbeing?

Or something a dying loved one did made life easier for you once they had gone?

Maybe you work in care or health, and routinely do 'small' things that you know from experience can really help?

It could be something someone has said, something someone has done, or simply a kind thought.

During Demystifying Death Week we'll be sharing examples of some of the things that, though they may seem small or insignificant, can make a big difference to someone who is seriously ill, or dying, or grieving, or caring for a loved one.

We'd love to hear from you. Please email your reflections to: by 30 March 2024.
