good life, good death, good grief

Does talking about death make it happen sooner?

No. Talking about death doesn’t make it happen sooner.

Talking about death can actually help in some ways...

  • Making plans for future illness and death can increase your chances of getting the care you want at the end of your life.
  • Being open about death can help you to support others through difficult times associated with death, dying and bereavement.
  • Having the right legal documents in place can help you to ease the burden on your family if you become ill or die.

And ignoring death won’t make it go away.
