good life, good death, good grief

Who decides whether or not you get taken to hospital with COVID-19?

This NHS Inform self-help guide provides information about when to use self-care, and when to seek medical help: NHS Inform self-guide.

Having followed this guidance, if you call 111 or 999, a member of NHS staff, either at the local COVID hub, in the ambulance, or at the Accident & Emergency (A&E) will assess whether or not someone is likely to benefit more from admission to hospital or being cared for at home.

The person with COVID-19 can decide in advance that they do not want to be taken to hospital and record this in an Anticipatory Care Plan.
