Dining with Death Conversation Event

Organised by Kilbryde Hospice. Monday 10 May, 7pm.

Join Kirsten, Jane & Jane for a Dining with Death Conversation Event using a Conversation Menu is an icebreaker to give inspiration and permission to talk about what is often perceived as a taboo subject.

‘Unexpected Consequences’ – a virtual webinar on bereavement.

Tuesday 11th May, 1.30pm - 3.15pm. Organised by the Bereavement Charter group.

Last spring saw the launch of Scotland’s first ever Bereavement Charter for Adults and Children. Since then, the Charter has developed and grown and been used in many different ways.

The Group which developed the Charter is holding the first in a series of webinars exploring different elements of death and bereavement as part of the Demystifying Death Week.

The webinar will include the following presentations:

Update on the Bereavement Charter, Dr Janice Turner, NHS Education for Scotland

People dying at home during Covid, Dr Jan Savinc, Napier University

How disenfranchised grief has been affected by Covid-19, Paul Parsons, Adult Bereavement Coordinator for St Christopher’s Hospice.

Digital Accessability and the impact on grief, Donna Hastings, Child & Families Worker, St Columba’s Hospice, Edinburgh.

Supporting bereaved young people with additional needs

Part of a week's programme of training from Child Bereavement UK relevant for professionals working with children and young people in Scotland.

Tuesday 11 May, 12:00 – 13:00

This session focuses on understanding some of the challenges for bereaved young people with additional needs and supporting them to manage their grief.
